So Hunter Pence
isn't out of the lineup because he's in an 0-for-15 funk.
He's not playing because he has a sore left shoulder. Pence suffered the injury when he dove for a ball in the third inning of Sunday's game in San Diego.
Pence is still waiting to get checked out by the medical staff, but he sounded hopeful it wasn't anything that would keep him out of the lineup much longer.
"I felt it after it happened but I had adrenaline going... this morning when I woke up, I didn’t have the mobility that you need," Pence said Monday at Chase Field. "I want to try to do more (today), but they don’t want me to. Hopefully it’s
not a big deal, but we have to get it checked out first."
