The rest of the NLDS schedule

With wins by the Texas Rangers and Detroit Tigers in the last 24 hours, both American League opening round series will go at least four games.

Why should the Phillies care? Well, it's why the Phils will not be in prime time when their series shifts venues to Busch Stadium this week.

After Detroit's win over the Yankees today, MLB released the rest of the schedule for the opening round playoff series.

The Phillies will play the Cardinals at 5:07 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday night for Game 3 of the NLDS. If a Game 4 is necessary, it will be played at 6:07 EST on Wednesday.

If a Game 5 is necessary, it will be played at 8:37 p.m. in Philly on Friday. (The time moves to 8:07 p.m. if the other NL series is over by then.

The Phillies also got the earlier games most likely because the other LDS series, between the Diamondbacks and Brewers, shifts to Arizona this week. The way the TV networks see it, they'll have both NL games in prime time at some point in the markets where the games are being played.

The Phils, by the way, will fly to St. Louis on Monday morning and work out at Busch Stadium at 5 p.m.
