#Phillies lineup?
While sitting here on a plane about to take off for Pittsburgh, I'll attempt to guess how Charlie Manuel will construct his starting lineup tonight, the first game in 2011 - spring training included - that he'll have all of his players healthy and at his disposal.
I'll surely get this wrong. Charlie has several options, of course.
But the key is breaking up the left-handers in the middle of the order. The Phillies have 4, in Utley, Howard, Ibanez and Brown.
Charlie has hit three straight lefties this week. He may do that again tonight. He may not.
Without further ado, here's my best guess:
1. Jimmy Rollins, SS
2. Chase Utley, 2B
3. Placido Polanco, 3B
4. Ryan Howard, 1B
5. Raul Ibanez, LF
6. Shane Victorino, CF
7. Domonic Brown, RF
8. Carlos Ruiz, C
9. Cole Hamels, P
The Phils face right-hander Jeff Karstens tonight.
